The story of the work takes place in the Basque Country, at the end of the eighteenth century. In a farm and the reapers are granted a respite from work in the fields. Adina, intelligent and spoiled rich farmer, sitting on the sidelines and read the ancient story of Tristan and Isolde, in love with a love potion on the sidelines while Nemorino, a poor farmer so, observing yearns for love.
